As the end titles finish fade into the after credit scene; the camera is panning down Lovett’s house hall way towards the living room, it is night time and we can see the living room light is on but we can’t see in and we over hear them both talking as we slowly pan towards the open door.
Lovett: “So… what… what do you think? I was bit embarrassed to show you it. Do you like it?”
Die: “You shouldn’t be embarrassed to show me. It’s… it’s so sexy.” “You didn’t just do this for me did you?”
Lovett: “No… well not entirely. I was thinking of you when I did…”
Die; “It so pretty like this… not that I didn’t like it before…”
Lovett: “Oh I know, it just makes a nice change doesn’t it? It’s…”
Die: “God yes, it’s… it’s so soft…
Lovett: “Yes.”
Die: “And so smooth to the… touch.”
Lovett: “Oh yes, yes I like that.”
Die: “So warm and irresistible…It makes me want to just…”
Lovett: “God yes… it does feel good.”
Die: “I can’t stop touching it… Lovett it is wonderful.”
Lovett: “I… I can tell that you like it…”
Die: “I can’t believe you did this for…me.” “How do you feel about it?”
Lovett: “It feels, different but… I like it. It feels tantalizing… Should I… I keep it?”
Die: “It’s beautiful Charlotte but don’t keep it for me only keep it if you’re comfortable with it.”
The camera has now got to the open door as we look and move into the living room Lovett and Die are fully dressed and sitting on a brand new bright yellow leather sofa the old red one has gone. Lovett starts to bounce up and down in a sitting position on the sofa.
Lovett: “Oh yes it is really comfortable! You should sleep better on it.”
Die: “Is this why you were getting money out of the bank?”
Lovett: “Yes, for the guys to take the old one.” “It is my first leather sofa… it’s so posh!”
Die: “You’re saying it wrong for something so posh.” “It isn’t leather sofa, it’s Leath-er So-fa!”
Lovett stops bouncing and stares hard at Die.
Lovett: “What an idiot.”

*Still* trying to figure out a way to capture the sense of tension and dramatic flair this episode gives me onto paper-the dialogue is perfect, witty when it needs to be, the reference make me smile, and I can’t stop myself rereading it every time I think about it. ❤
